Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, And He will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. – Proverbs 3:5-7
What does it mean to trust? Who do you really trust?

Verb: Believe in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of.
Here the Lord is calling us to trust Him. Yet most days I confess that I am leaning on my own understanding. Is it a display of His magnificence that the all-knowing Creator placed these words side by side because He knew our hearts. We desire desperately to be connected to Him in worship. But most days we replace the greatest love we ever have known with a simple piece of green paper, a vehicle, a home, or even a sports team.
Brother or sister in Christ, I encourage you to place your trust in the only One who is worthy of it.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart.
Father God, you are the best thing that has ever happened to me. I trust you and you alone with my life. Spirit lead me each moment and remind me that the temporary items of this world are but a distraction. Give me strength in my weakness to rely on you and you alone. You are my refuge and comforter. In Jesus’ name, amen.
